How much does a website cost?
Every project is quoted individually after a short conversation, because a five-page business site and an online booking system are very different jobs. You'll get a written, fixed price before any work starts. Fixes to an existing site start at £149 with the Fix Pack. For typical UK prices, read how much a small business website costs.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the project. Your written quote includes a timeline, and you'll see progress as the work happens rather than waiting until the end.
Do I own the website when it's finished?
Yes. The code, the domain and the hosting account are all yours. Nothing is locked to us.
Can you improve my existing website instead of rebuilding it?
Often, yes. Start with a free website check. If fixes will do the job, the Fix Pack covers it. If a rebuild makes more sense, we'll tell you why.
Do you handle hosting?
We set hosting up on your own account, so you deal with the host directly. For most small business websites, hosting is cheap or free.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes. You get simple notes on making small changes. If you'd rather not, we can make updates for you.
Do you build mobile apps?
Yes. We build apps for iOS and Android with Flutter, as well as web apps and installable web apps.
Do you work with schools?
Yes. Doxel Studio is run by a Computer Science teacher, and our educational software is built with school IT and UK GDPR in mind, for example avoiding stored pupil data where possible.
Do you only work with local businesses?
No. We’re based in Buckinghamshire and meet clients across Bucks and Oxfordshire in person, and we work with clients across the rest of the UK by video call and email.
What do you need from me to get started?
A rough idea of what you want, any branding you already have, and examples of sites or apps you like. If you don't have these yet, that's fine; we'll work through it together.
Do you offer support after launch?
Yes. If something we built doesn't work as agreed, we fix it. For ongoing updates and new features, ask us for a quote.
